Workshop: The Impact of Climate Change on the Hydrochemical Characteristics of the Southern Iraqi Marshes' Water (Al-Hammar Marsh as a Model)

The Green Education and Sustainable Research Society (GESRS) is pleased to announce its participation in the upcoming workshop entitled:The Impact of Climate Change on the Hydrochemical Characteristics of the Southern Iraqi Marshes' Water (Al-Hammar Marsh as a Model)

Organized by the Iraqi House of Wisdom, the workshop will be held on Wednesday morning, April 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM, in the Seminar Hall at the House of Wisdom – Baghdad.

Session Chair: Prof. Dr. Amani Ibrahim – Member of the Green Education and Sustainable Research Society

Workshop Themes Include:

  • Climate change and its impact on water properties in the southern Iraqi Marshes
  • ⁠Hydrological and environmental chemical analysis of Al-Hammar Marsh
  • ⁠Monitoring the effects of infrastructure on the reality of the marshlands
  • ⁠Climate change challenges and future impacts on the marsh ecosystem

The workshop will feature scientific contributions from researchers representing the Ministry of Environment, the Scientific Research Authority, Iraqi universities, and the Ministry of Water Resources.

We invite researchers and those interested in climate change, water, and environmental issues to attend this important scientific event.
