Workshop entitled: Smoking: Between Habit and Addiction Among Youth

As part of its commitment to public health, the Green Education and Sustainability Research Association, in collaboration with the Training and Laboratories Center, organized an awareness workshop titled “Smoking: Between Habit and Addiction Among Youth,” in line with the third Sustainable Development Goal. Dr. Amir Abdul Rasen discussed the scientific differences between habit and addiction, the mechanism of nicotine’s effects, and the health, psychological, and social consequences of smoking. The association emphasized the importance of prevention, deterrent legislation, and strengthening the role of university professors in disseminating health awareness and fostering behaviors that support sustainable health.
