As part of the University’s Sustainable Week activities, and under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Professor Dr. Mohsen Nouri Hamza, the Green Education and Sustainability Research Association, in cooperation with the Training and Laboratories Center, organized a scientific workshop entitled:
“The Climate Crisis and Emissions: From Diagnosis to Practical Solutions.”
The workshop was held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, in the Yusuf Al-Sabbagh Hall at the Training and Laboratories Center of the University of Technology. It was attended by academics and a number of researchers and those interested in environmental and climate issues.
The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Hassanein Adnan Abdul Wahab, who reviewed the most prominent challenges related to climate change and environmental emissions, and their impacts on ecosystems and sustainable development. He also presented a set of practical solutions and procedures that can be adopted to reduce emissions and promote sustainable environmental practices.
The Green Education and Sustainability Research Association’s participation in this event affirms its role in supporting scientific activities that enhance environmental awareness and contribute to spreading a culture of sustainability and addressing climate challenges through scientific research and community education.
The association also stressed the importance of continued cooperation between academic institutions and scientific societies in establishing specialized programs and workshops that highlight contemporary environmental issues and support national trends towards sustainable development and the green economy.
