The Green Education and Sustainability Research Association, in cooperation with Ain Al-Bee’a Egyptian Association and in partnership with the Arab Union for Sustainable Development and Environment and the Arab Union for the Protection of Wildlife and Marine Life, has launched the 2026 Arab Initiative for Green Technology and Artificial Intelligence, under the theme “Innovative Smart Solutions for a Green and Sustainable Future”, and under the title “The Road to Antalya COP31.” The initiative brings together a distinguished group of experts, academics, researchers, sustainability leaders, and representatives of a number of civil society institutions and organizations from across the Arab countries.

The launch of the initiative comes within the framework of the Green Education and Sustainability Research Association’s commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and innovation in the fields of environment and sustainability, supporting the application of emerging technologies and artificial intelligence to develop innovative solutions to environmental and development challenges, and strengthening cooperation and knowledge exchange among academic, research, and community-based institutions at the Arab level.

The 2026 Arab Initiative for Green Technology and Artificial Intelligence represents an Arab knowledge platform that brings together experts, researchers, academics, students, entrepreneurs, and institutions interested in green technology and artificial intelligence. Its aim is to build a specialized knowledge community that supports scientific research and innovation, while facilitating the exchange of experiences and best practices in the field of sustainable development.

The initiative also seeks to provide a space for scientific dialogue and professional collaboration among specialists through the organization of lectures, seminars, scientific and specialized events, as well as the sharing of studies, references, and educational and scientific resources. These efforts are intended to contribute to developing Arab capacities and raising awareness of the importance of technology and artificial intelligence in advancing environmental, economic, and social sustainability.

The initiative’s theme, “Innovative Smart Solutions for a Green and Sustainable Future,” reflects its commitment to bridging scientific knowledge, modern technology, and environmental action, and to harnessing digital innovation and artificial intelligence to support sustainable development pathways across the Arab world.

The initiative emphasizes the importance of establishing an effective Arab network of experts, researchers, and institutions to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise, and to encourage projects and ideas that contribute to a more sustainable future. Such efforts will further strengthen Arab participation in international discussions and initiatives related to climate, the environment, and green technology.

Through its participation in launching this initiative, the Green Education and Sustainability Research Association reaffirms its commitment to supporting education and scientific research, promoting sustainability concepts, and strengthening scientific and community partnerships that contribute to building a generation capable of addressing environmental challenges and harnessing the potential of technology and artificial intelligence in the service of people and the environment.
